Sen-tor’ree-um. A genus made up of about 30 herbs, most of them annual or biennial, widely distributed, mostly throughout the northern hemisphere.

Description
Leaves opposite, simple. Flowers pale pink to rose or red, in clusters.

How to Grow   
Sow seeds in the garden where plants are to remain in very early spring; in mild-winter areas start in early fall. The longest show of color is obtained in cool summer gardens, but flowers perform well over much of the country. Young plants are quite hardy to frost.
