Sin-o-gloss’um. A genus of 90 species of widely distributed herbs, most of them weedy.

Description
Leaves alternate, undivided, often rough. Flowers small, often in arching, one-sided racemes. Corolla funnel-shaped, with 5 rounded lobes.

How to Grow  
Where winters are mild, sow seeds in the garden in fall; elsewhere, in early spring. Thin plants to stand 1 ft. (30 cm) apart. The species below prefer cool weather.

Cynoglossum amabile
Chinese Forget-Me-Not . 18-24 in. (45-60 cm) high. Flowers ? in. (8 mm) long, in a relatively showy cluster, usually blue, but may be pink or white. E. Asia. Biennial, but blooms from seed the first year; usually grown as a hardy annual.

Cynoglossum officinale
To 2 ft. (60 cm) high. Flowers ? in. (6 mm) long, purple to pinkish purple. Europe. Biennial grown as a hardy annual.
