Be Safe with Mosquito Hat Protection
While I was enjoying the summer night life a few weeks ago, I was annoyed at the insects that were trying to bite my arms and legs. I commented to my friend that I was worried about getting the West Nile Virus because I had recently heard that there was an increased chance of outbreak this year, as the California Governor was taking increased precautions against the virus. My friend said that his neighbor had contracted the Virus from an infected mosquito. That knowledge really began to worry me. Vying to protect my health (I could definitely not afford to get sick because of school and work), I looked into ways to protect myself from mosquito bites besides wearing long sleeves and pants.
I found from a local sporting goods store some mosquito gear to protect me from the disease-carrying insects. First, I picked up some strong mosquito repellant. I also bought a mosquito candle to repel bugs when I was enjoying the warm weather on my back porch. I also found a mosquito hat, which was perfect to protect my face and neck from bites while hiking or gardening, two activities that I do frequently during the warmer months.
The first chance I had, I tried out my mosquito gear. I found the spray was necessary since I didn’t want to wear long sleeved clothes in the summer, although it made me feel slightly sticky at first. The candle worked reasonably well to protect my friends and me from bugs while barbequing or hanging out during the twilight hours. Finally, the mosquito hat was my favorite buy. Although at first I felt strange wearing a net around my face, I found that it allowed me to enjoy hiking and gardening more, without paying mind to the bugs in the air around me.
I would recommend getting some mosquito protective gear this summer, particularly when camping, hiking, gardening, or hunting. You can pick up some gear at a local sporting goods store or by ordering mosquito protective gear online.
