Instructions for setting up your single or dual air pump
Warning: To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including the following
· To avoid possible electric shock special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of this air pump equipment. Do not attempt to repair by yourself. Return to an authorized service facility for help repairing this appliance.
· If you’re air pump should accidentally fall into the water do not reach for it. First unplug it and then retrieve it. If electrical components of the air pump get wet, unplug the appliance immediately.
· Carefully examine the air pump after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.
· Do not operate the air pump if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner at all.
· To avoid the possibility of the air pump plug or receptacle getting wet, position the pump to one side wall-mounted receptacle to prevent the water from dripping on to receptacle plug. A drip loop should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting to your hydroponic system receptacle. The drip loop is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle for the connector extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, do not unplug the cord. Disconnected fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the air pump. Then examine for presence of water in the receptacle. Do not operate if water is present in the receptacle.
· Always unplug the air pump from the outlet when not in use or before putting or adding new parts and before cleaning. Never yank the cord, or pull from the wall. Grab the plug and pull to disconnect.
· Do not install or use this air pump were you will be exposed to whether or temperatures below freezing.
In most cases this air pump will be installed above water level in a vertical or horizontal position. However if your air pump has been installed below the water level you must use a check valve. This way you avoid any flow back of water when the circuit fails. If the cable is damaged please go through a distributor or retailer to replace it with a similar one
You’re air pump is not intended to be used in water.
Never place the air pump in water.
This air pump appliance has no user serviceable parts and should not be opened.
1. The clear tubes running from your air stones should run through the lid of the hydroponic system, out the back of your grow box, I connect securely to their one or two of the white nipples at the bottom of your pump.
2. If applicable set the flow gauge to the maximum setting, for maximum oxygenation of your hydroponic solution.
